Built by order of Ferreira dos Santos in 1953, this coffee shop designed by the architect Carlos Neves, who chose a modernity-inclined shadow approach with lampshades. The decoration, entirely referring to the conquest of Ceuta, is one of the shop's particularities. Ceuta is one of the rare coffee shops from the 50s still operating and also one of the most emblematic in the city. Within many years it was a meeting place for friends, ministers, congressmen, figures such as Sottomayor Cardia, Montalvão Machado, Eurico de Melo and some members of the Sá Carneiro family.

Opened in 1933, it is decorated in a style evocative of the Guarani Indians of South America (hence its name) as well as of Brazil in the early 20th Century when this was the first producer of coffee. It is located right on Avenida dos Aliados. It harmoniously blends the modern and the traditional in a unique setting and offers a regular programme of events.

Founded in 1921, it is considered to be one of the most beautiful and representative examples of Art Nouveau in Porto exuding an atmosphere of luxury, refinement and well-being. Its inherent beauty and its importance in the life of the city of Porto have deservedly led it to be classified as a building of public interest in 1983 and as a cultural heritage site thus allowing a full renovation programme to be undertaken culminating in its reopening in 1994, inviting customers to relive the fascinating Belle Époque. In J.K Rowling's biography, written by Sean Smith, it said that when the writer was living in Porto she used to spend quite a long time at the Majestic, working on the first book of 'Harry Potter'. The Majestic, according to a testimony from a client, would also be the favourite spot of Kubitshek, former president of Brazil.

The Tea House is located by the old tennis court of the Serralves Park. Under new management since July 2012, it features a decoration with cosy and comfortable corners inviting to stay, with renovated menus for the different times of the day and a gourmet shop with teas, treats, wine, homemade jams. The Tea House has a capacity for 30 people inside and 40 outside (pergola). On warmer days, it offers a terrace, but on colder days the refuge is inside in its pleasant interior. Access to the Park is free on Sundays from 10:00 to 13:00.

In addition to the exhibitions, you may visit the shop, technical workshops for serigraphy, lithography and ceramics (with prior booking) and enjoy a unique view of the Douro from its gardens.
